Blogger headers.

So I've played a little with headers for Blogger blogs. I've done a couple for myself and some friends now. Here are some samples:

If you'd like me to create one for you I'd be happy to! Just email me your ideas, colors, picture, etc. I am going to start charging $10 though, just because of the time it takes. This may not be anything any of you are interested in, but I thought I'd put it out there!

PayPal problems.

I'd like to apologize to those of you who have had problems placing orders through the website using Pay Pal. For some reason I haven't received any recent orders that have paid using Pay Pal, and this was just called to my attention. If you have placed an order and haven't received any confirmation from The Fine Print please email me (kim@thefineprintdesigns.com) so that I can follow-up on your order.

In the meantime, it may be best to use the pay by check option. Thanks for your understanding — hopefully this will be sorted out soon!

Minted Challege

I just wanted to give out a quick thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for me in the design challenge! I didn't win, but I did have a good average score. Thanks to all of you I was actually proud of my work. I really appreciate all of the kind words and support!

If you're curious, you can check out the winner here. (It totally deserved it, it was my favorite.)

Next challenge — holiday card!

Vote for me!

So... I went out of my comfort zone a little and decided to enter a design challenge through minted.com.

The challege: Design a save-the-date card for one of three couples incorporating a photo of the pair.

How you can help: Go to www.minted.com/vote and vote for my design! It's on page 5, and it's called "Pair in Phillips Tree." And please leave a comment and let me know what you think! BE HONEST — I'd love constructive criticism! Please pardon the fuzziness of my design, due to procrastination my final upload wasn't as professional as it should be. Hopefully you can see past that.

Prize: 1st place - $1000, 2nd - $500, etc. and they will sell your design on their website!

Voting will be open until approximately Thursday, May 15 and they will announce the winners shortly thereafter.

There are some other REALLY awesome designs. Which only makes me even more awkward to beg for your vote. IF by some insane chance I were to place (and that would only be due to the crazy support of those few of you who read my blogs) I hope to buy Photoshop for The Fine Print (to ensure non-fuzzy future entries to such contests) and then I want to donate half to a charitable cause. No particular organization in mind - but I am open to suggestions.

I'll keep you posted — and thanks in advance for your support!

You're invited to our OPEN HOUSE!

The Fine Print is going to be a part of an Open House on Thursday, May 8. I'm gathering with some other local designers to create a fun night with unique creations, yummy food, special offers and great gift ideas for Mother's Day, graduations and wedding season! It's come and go from 6 - 8 p.m. at my friend, and fellow participant, Angie Shorter's home in Ambiance subdivision in Brandon off of Hwy 471 (228 Penny Lane).

To give you an idea of what to expect here's a list of who will be there:

If you have questions just post a comment. I plan to have some fun stationery items available that night as well as samples of other items that can be personalized. Hope you can come — and be sure to tell a friend!

It's wedding season!

And while most likely if you're a bride you're checking off all the last minute details, I just wanted to share something I like to do — wedding programs! There aren't any examples right now on the site, but I'm working on adding them. In the meantime I thought I'd share our little indirect piece of fame at theknot.com.

Thanks to my awesome friend Mollie's photographer the program I designed for her wedding made it to this great web resource for brides. If you're a bride and you haven't checked out theknot.com please do. There's great photos, links and other articles that are great for inspiration and information as you plan.

And if you want to check out The Fine Print's little plug click here.

Pricing varies on wedding programs, because they're such a custom item. So just contact me at kim@thefineprintdesigns.com for more info!

So it's taken me a little longer than I hoped to really get the new site going. But here she is! I'm still adding new designs all the time, like these new invitations for a crawfish boil — whether it's a birthday party, graduation celebration or just a get together for good food these are perfect. New Webstore!

Ok... so it's not completely up and running, but I'm excited. I finally have a real working shopping cart! This is a HUGE step up if you dealt with my old website at all. :)

So here's a taste of a couple designs that are on the new site. You'll notice a few changes. I'll talk about some of that more soon here. Keep checking on http://www.thefineprintdesigns.com/, I'll have it ready to go soon.

If you have any questions email me at kim@thefineprintdesigns.com or just post a comment on the blog. Thanks to all of you who've been supporting me through your blog links!
